Hardware – GPS NMEA
The goal of this project is to decode position information using a GPS with the C language.
From a Fastrax module providing NMEA information to a serial line, the goal is to extract relevant position information and bring them out of the pin of a PIC 16F877 micro-controller and to deliver them on a serial link.
The work consisted in two phases:
- Decoding the frame with Labview software.
- Display the longitude, latitude, altitude and time on an LCD screen trough the micro-controller
